It is well-recognized nationally and internationally that His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej was the king with vision and capability in development works. The photos of His Majesty performed the royal activities since his accession to the throne in 1946 clearly reflect his mercy and benevolence in relieving the people’s plight while bringing about the happiness to his people to have a better life. His Majesty determinedly devoted himself to get rid of the grievance of the people regardless of nationalities, religions and distances. His works comprise the development in public health; education; basic infrastructure; agriculture; rehabilitation of natural resources; environment including the development of soil, water, forest, energy; and transportation. All of these works were carefully considered by himself to tackle the problems. In running the development works, His Majesty firmly upheld the middle path as the guideline that is suitable to the surrounding conditions and practical. His Majesty was cautiously prudent and sought for the means to develop the country for the sake of the people. Accordingly, his royal evelopment works are valuable and worth following to generate usefulness to individual, community and the nation forever.
